News came through this morning that  Aunty Chloe had passed away om new year's eve. She has been frail for many years but even so it is a reminder of time passing. Writing a note to her family I did remember the hamster family that she made for me when I was 7 or 8. The details she included were amazing...wire rimmed spectacles, ball of string rolled up on a foot, plastic kintting needles, a newspaper rolled up to say SA on yhe outside. They lived on my bookcase for many  years and now 50 odd years later I still have them. What an effort she went to to include us in her family, even thougn we were so far away jn SA.
A reminder to me to take the time keeping up the conections with peope that are far away and not to let my daily work provide an excuse not to do so.
Grateful for family and the relationships I have across the world.
