Planning for Term 3 - it's getting pretty collaborative around here!
Grateful for a topic that I'm keen on: sciencey things all to do with adaptations!
22.06.15
Walking at Whatipu - a long black sandy beach, wetlands and caves - all with a strong wind howling: certainly makes for a breezy (and cold) walk. Grateful for a body that can walk miles and for warm clothing to wear - especially my beanie!

It's not often I get the chance to be with royalty for a weekend - what a privilege to have been invited to join Caro and all her friends to celebrate her 50th: Queen C - at Whatipu.
The kind of weekend I have n't had in a LONG time and made me realise there's lots more to life than just work and getting caught up in little dramas.
Feeling grateful for new friendships

One very contented Roxy cat. the bean bag next tot he fire she definitely sees as hers and is more than happy to be quite submerged in it.
She's enjoying winter. I'm grateful for the warm fireplace we have to heat our lounge and house.

Look at this wonderful misty morning - makes me so glad to be snuggled in bed with a warm home and lots of blankets. soccer cancelled today for the littelies so I don't even have to get up early to take Ben down t Lloyd Elsmore Park. I am blessed!
2.06.15
Just loving the colour range of our daily eggs. No 2 are ever the same - makes for an interesting presentation when I give them away. Grateful for gifts that I can pass on to others.
5.06.15
Never before have I had $3 100 odd dollars on me. It's the World Vision money for banking. FCI students have done really well and it'll be good to see how much our final total is.
Grateful to have inspired students to raise this much for someone outside their daily lives.
6.06.15
One of those unexpected notices I found on the back of the loo door at...the Antique and Collectables show at Avondale Racecourse...I was waiting for Ben's soccer game to start. Always amuses me how the issues remain the same across so many girl's toilets.
Grateful to have had also to use before the game today!
7.06.15
There's something about getting an unexpected Tupperware of fresh, still warm biscuits form a friend. Darlene you're a wonder and, I know I give you eggs but the cookies you give us in return are worth so much more to us. Thank you! We are rationing them 1 a day per person...even so they won't last very long in this household!
8.06.15
On the way to work - another one of these misty mornings. All I could see was Pigeon Mountain raising it's head above a band of mist in the dip. As I drove further down the dip so the mist rose and then completely hid the head of the mountain.
Grateful today for sunshine and actually feeling too hot for a change! Also, for So Yung getting off his butt and going to Howick Village Radio station in person to do his interview with the FCI DJs.
